As Christmas comes to an end, a new season approaches. Yes we are talking about the wedding season. Its the time of year when lots of couples take the next step and become wedding planning love birds..ahhh how cute! If you are one of these couples or someone that wants to help a loving duo with some great wedding ideas, then here are some tips for the big day.

The perfect day takes perfect planning, nothing is by accident and if it is not everything will be. Book the party ideas as early as possible.

Lots of people relax after the church and hotel is booked thinking that there is plenty of time for the rest or they will wait for the Southern Brides wedding fair. This can be a mistake, sure the wedding fair is Cork’s largest and possibly Munster’s largest wedding showcase and is a great place to get some wedding ideas, but the suppliers are there every year to do business and your date could be gone at that stage? Do you want to take that chance?

So when you know what you want- hold the date, it may cost you a small deposit but at least you have what you want and not settling for second best.

Wedding Bands

When you have your church and hotel booked, the next should be the wedding band. This is very important, as you want the best band that will suit your event. So rather than thinking what music you like best, think about what will suit your guests and venue best. If you are having a traditional wedding, with a mature crowd then a younger rock wedding band may not be the right decision for you even though they are very popular?

Once you have settle on a couple of choices, go check out the wedding bands. Here’s a great tip, if you know the wedding band is performing in the venue you booked ( find out by asking the band), pop in and see them there, the venue wouldn’t mind as much as, well your their very important customer.

Drinks reception

You probably will be missing for most of the wedding reception (drinks reception) due to the demands of the wedding photographer, so its important that you know your guests are in good hands. Have the priests mention what you have planned for the drinks reception. This will have your guests thinking twice about that pit stop along the way!

Magic at this time is great, as your guests come in from the church, in to a room with music, drink, food, and a wedding magician all complimenting each other, its like walking into party in full swing. My magic is interactive and a great ice-breaker bringing people together in a natural way.

To sum up again, a great party needs great planning. Book early and check out you the wedding entertainment you want to book before hand.

Be sure to check back in for more ideas.

Until then.
